Self-Catering Lodges and Cottages in Padstow, Rock, Wadebridge & the Seven Bays

Padstow sits on the west bank of the Camel Estuary in north Cornwall. Our collection covers the town itself plus St Merryn, Trevone, Constantine Bay, Wadebridge, Rock and Polzeath. Some lodges look over the water. Others sit inland with a hot tub on the decking and a short drive to the sand. The Camel Trail starts at the old station in Padstow and runs 18 miles to Wadebridge and on to Bodmin along a disused railway line. It is flat the whole way. That makes it one of the easiest family cycle routes in the county.

Why book a Padstow lodge with us? The choice is broad and the prices are honest. You will find pet-friendly lodges with enclosed decking, hot tub retreats for two, and larger properties that sleep ten or more. The Seven Bays sit within a few miles of each other: Trevone, Harlyn, Mother Ivey's, Booby's, Constantine, Treyarnon and Porthcothan. Surf schools run from Harlyn and Constantine through the season. Trevone has a rock pool and a blowhole worth the walk.

What about food? Padstow earned its reputation through it. Rick Stein has run The Seafood Restaurant here since 1975, and Paul Ainsworth holds a Michelin star at No.6. The harbour still lands crab, lobster and mackerel daily. Fancy crossing to Rock? The Black Tor ferry runs from the quay and takes a few minutes. Want a proper walk? The South West Coast Path climbs north to Stepper Point and the Daymark tower. Prideaux Place, the Elizabethan manor above town, has deer in its park and opens to visitors through the summer.

Romantic Hot Tub Retreats

Lodges for two near the Camel Estuary

One-bedroom lodges with a private hot tub on the decking, most within ten minutes of Padstow harbour. Book a table at The Seafood Restaurant or No.6, then walk back along the quay. The estuary faces west, so the sunsets over Rock and Daymer Bay are the real draw.

Pet-Friendly Lodges

Dog-welcoming stays near the Seven Bays

Lodges with enclosed decking and hard floors, close to beaches that welcome dogs all year. Harlyn Bay and Trevone stay open to dogs through the summer. The Camel Trail runs 18 flat miles to Wadebridge and Bodmin, and the coast path north to Stepper Point is roughly five miles there and back.

Family Beach Holidays

Surf, sand and the Camel Trail

Base the family near St Merryn or Constantine Bay and the Seven Bays are all within a few miles. Surf schools run at Harlyn and Constantine through the season. Trevone has rock pools and a blowhole. Hire bikes at the Padstow end of the Camel Trail, or cross to Rock on the Black Tor ferry.

Large Group Gatherings

Properties sleeping ten or more

Big kitchens, long tables and decking that holds everyone. Buy crab and lobster straight off the harbour and cook in. Padstow gets busy on the May Day Obby Oss weekend, so book early if that is your date. Wadebridge suits groups who want space and a shorter drive to Bodmin Moor.
